Formative reimagined an existing office to better portray the mission of the organization.
Pecos Hall in the Wendell Chino Building, is used by the Oil Conservation Division of the New Mexico Department of Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources.
The division holds oil, gas, and mineral extraction hearings, and the space was in need of an upgrade.
Formative utilized the building’s precast structure to reconceptualize the hearing room.
The design removes an existing floor slab to instead create an elevated dais which reinforces the hierarchy of the hearing room and provides stepped seating.
Formative is also leading extensive technology, finish, furniture, power, and wayfinding upgrades.
The Pecos Hall Renovation, currently under construction, will establish comfort and functionality.
